Job Summary:

FluidAI is revolutionizing the way surgeons and healthcare practitioners care for their patients. As the company expands into new markets and scales our operations, identifying and harnessing diverse funding sources, opportunities, and partnerships are crucial for our trajectory. We are currently seeking a Technical Writer who will help drive the identification and penetration of non-diluted funding opportunities, utilizing deep industry insights and a strategic approach to propel FluidAI’s growth. The ideal candidate will have excellent written and communication skills, with a proven track record of professional technical and clinical writing. Additionally, the ideal candidate will have experience in project management and leading communication between stakeholders for efficient completion of detailed documents. The candidate will work closely with the Operations and Executive teams to ensure projects strategically align with company objectives. The Technical Writer will play a critical role in securing funding to support the organization's mission and initiatives.
Your primary responsibilities will be:

· Analyzing and expanding business operations to achieve sustained growth through non-dilutive funding.
· Researching and identifying grant opportunities from government agencies, foundations, and other funding sources.
· Collaborating with the Executive and Operations teams to develop a thorough application strategy to optimize eligibility criteria and maximize funding.
· Synthesizing, summarizing, and organizing documents, data, and budget information from and for various stakeholders and applications.
· Writing compelling and concise documents, demonstrating clarity and persuasiveness to effectively secure opportunities.
· Adhering to deadlines and timelines, while ensuring strict compliance with eligibility criteria and requirements.
· Staying up to date on opportunities, statuses, and announcements to remain informed on the MedTech and funding landscapes and strategically position FluidAI for success.

This is an office-first role working out of our Kitchener HQ in the Medical Innovation Xchange.

Qualifications:

· A Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Science, or a related field from an accredited institution.
· 3+ years of proven experience in the technical writing in the medical technology industry.
· Exceptional research capabilities that include the gathering, analysis, and synthesis of information from a variety of sources.
· Strong written communication skills demonstrated by meticulous attention to detail.
· Autonomous work ethic coupled with the capacity to engage effectively in team-driven initiatives.
· Demonstrable experience in technical writing with an ability to articulate complex technological and scientific ideas in a clear and simple manner.
· Competence in managing concurrent projects with agility and meeting stringent deadlines.
· Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with other relevant technological tools.
Bonus Qualifications:
· A track record of securing grant funding, with particular commendation for achievements in the healthcare domain.
· Proficiency in grasping complex technical concepts, especially those related to artificial intelligence and medical device technologies.
· Relevant professional experience within clinical settings or the medical technology industry, demonstrating a practical understanding of the sector’s unique challenges and opportunities.

Compensation

$55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
